New to collecting Luger's and I will soon be looking for a correct holster for a byf 41 serial number 4939 p. What would be the correct markings on the holster for a byf 41. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Chris |

Technically any luger holster would be correct, any year. There would not be a specific maker for a byf.
This would be for a army or a police (each type). Now, in my opinion, any holster a year before, that year or the year after would be "most" correct; as that would be most likely how one would be issued. That said, it would be possible to see a 1936 with a 1941 luger (or any year).... Ed |

Ed is correct. However most of us collectors prefer a holster with the same year as the luger. It's just a collecting thing. Bill

Thanks for the info Bill, I will keep that in mind when I look for a holster. I only have one byf 41, but it wont be the last as soon as I can get some more cash together I will have a shooter. I have many firearms, but there is something about these pistols.
Thanks, Chris |
