Default Hugh's grips are Niiiiice!!!

Wanted to save the old grips to keep them original so I ordered grips from Hugh. If there is any question in your mind as to grip replacement for showing or shooting, rest assured that these are tough to beat. Pictured are a couple of my old battle Erfurts with a new set of clothes. Top 1916 Erfurt...bottom...1918 Erfurt. Shot in the sun to show the grain, the 1916 is hard to see because the German black walnut grain is so dark on this set. They are a beautiful dark "tiger striping" though. Give Hugh your biz. His new hired help looks expensive!

Got a pair of grips for a 29 DWM Weimar Police Luger (Unit marked Police School Bonn) from Hugh that he restored this weekend. His work continues to amaze me! Outstandingly GREAT!!!

You guys give me hope that my G date grips will come back real purty! Hugh has done really fine work for me...I appreciate a true craftsman.
There are several "GO TO" guys for restoration and Hugh is the best for grips.

Thanks Hugh!

Default master craftsman....

Hello to all, You know, there is only one way to acquire the skill necessary to do what Hugh does... and that is the same way as it was done 100 years ago... He has made it a quest... it has nothing to do with money or reward, or recognition... It is far, far beyound that.... try to make just one luger part.. even a pin?? Try to do it right... A mastercraftsman was no small deal back then, it is no small deal now.... Hat's off to you Hugh...A lost art... I truly understand!! Best to all, til...lat'r...GT

Totaly agree with the posts above, he is truly a master craftsman!

One funny thing.. I remember there was a crack somewhere on a pair of grips before I sent them to Hugh, I just can't remember where! Having the Luger in front of me right now, there is abselutely no trace of it whatsoever
The same Luger has Geralds superb mag bottoms and occasionally stands in a stand made by drfixer (David).. I't brings out a smile on my face, thanks!
