Hi,
Anyone have a clue as to where this magazine belongs to? It's a 22-ish mag and has the identical outside dimensions of a normal P08 mag, except for the magazine catch opening. My first impression was that it was a mag for the post war Erma SE08 or SE08/2 22lr conversion kits, but although it comes close to the magazines in the manual it differs on certain points. The finish reminds me to that of earlier MecGar magazines, so I was thinking along the line of a MecGar replacement for an SE08 or SE08/2 kit. But after trying to stick some 22 rounds in it, it became obvious they didn't fit. Perhaps it is a mag for some sort of luger-a-like, pellet- or blank-firing thing? Or a .32 auto version for one of the Erma KGP luger clones? |

Looks like it is an 8mm blank theatrical gun.

It is a blank pistol (Knallpistole). Thanks Juha, that really identifies Gerben's "mystery magazine"!

Yep, I'm convinced. Thanks for the info.
Just want to add that it is also not uncommon to see 9mm knall conversions of real pistols in Germany. Sort of a halfway solution between live and deactivated guns. |
