Default John Martz: Update?

Hi,

Does anyone know if John Martz is still with us? And, if he is, how is his health?

John is still doing what he enjoys the most, working on Lugers and P-38's at his home in Lincoln, CA. John is getting a bit older, slowing down, but still enjoys talking about the numerous custom Lugers and P-38's he had built over his lifetime.

That's excellent news Chuck.

I got worried when I saw auctions of guns alleged to be made by John on Gunbroker by a corporation from Florida. The guns don't look a thing like any of the real JVM guns I've had the pleasure of holding. I was afraid the quality of his work had slipped or that the vultures had swept in after he died.

I've been to his home and I even took a photo of his stump. What a great man and artist!

I called his home on Saturday. He is indeed okay and still working. He doesn't hear very well anymore and actually said he'd prefer to receive letters.

Anyway, just an update from a new member.
