What kind of a price should I expect to pay for an original takedown tool for my 1940 Mauser?

Bob, depends on what it is marked, I would expect an eagle 655 one to be around $75-$85 dollars. Today at the auction was a 42 marked one in the holster I was supposed to get (while waiting for it to come up for auction, the tool was stolen), luckily I heard about it, so took that into account before I bid...
