Default Erma La22

I know this gun isn't a real Luger, but is there anyone out there with info on this pistol? Is it worth $300 in good shape?

Step 1. Take a really awful design for a .22 pistol, then make it much, much worse.
Step 2. Make it look sorta-kinda like a Luger, from across the room, with your glasses off, kinda squinting.
Step 3. Sell thousands of these stupid pieces of worthless crap to unsuspecting would-be Luger fans.

$300, definitely not. $100, maybe, if in mint condition, to the right um 'collector'. MAYBE! But definitely not to me, not even for $3!

I bought one at the local hardware store when I was a kid. Really cool! Took it to the county dump to shoot and went directly back to the hardware store and traded it against an H&R .22 cal revolver.

The latter ain't worth much these days but the Erma wasn't worth sh!t then and still isn't.

Melting it down into a puddle of zinc alloy is worth more than the gun. I understand Ralph Nader carries one. It's SAFE because it never shoots.

Took one in on a multi gun trade deal a while ago. Believe me, I didn't want anything to do with it, but it just couldn't be avoided. Thought I had a new paperweight, but it was in mint condition so I thought I would try it out. Unbelievable! Functions perfectly, never a hangup in a few hundred rounds of common bulk .22 ammo. So maybe they aren't all bad.

It appears your gun somehow got by the Inverted Quality Control inspectors. Mine would "stove pipe"or partially eject regardless what ammunition it was fed. I traded lt for several boxes of donuts.
