Default New guy looking for P.08 holster and takedown tool advice.

Howdy All,

Iâ??d like to get a correct original holster to match my Mauser 42 Code, Four Digit Date (1939, w block) P.08 but I donâ??t have the knowledge of what to look for. Are there any references that I can study prior to doing my shopping?

Iâ??m also interested in a correct matching takedown tool, but again I need some advice on what to look for. Iâ??ve read Edward Tinkerâ??s excellent sticky on FAQs on the New Collectors Forum (thanks for that Edward) but how would a correct tool for my P.08 be marked â?? I assume with the same e/63 stamp thatâ??s on my pistol? Iâ??ve seen one advertised with a e/63 stamp but Iâ??m a little hesitant after Edward pointed out there are repo tools with that stamping. The stamping on the tool I saw appears to be the large e/63 stamp where as my pistol has the small e/63. I donâ??t know what the forumâ??s rules are for posting a photo from another website are but I think it would be OK to send you the photo a PM if you need to take a look to give me your advice.

Assuming that this tool is original, would it be a correct match for my P.08? Does any one know what the stamp on the repo tools looks like?

What's the ballpark going rate for the tool Iâ??m looking for?

Thanks,

Mike
