Default ??Cut down Artillery holsters

I was looking for some older post I remember of discussions on cut down Artillery holsters. I know a woman who will be back in town in a few months with some cut down Artilleries. What are the worth's and I remember someone here was collecting them. They appeared nice and she was asking $185.00 each but we were able to talk here down on a 41 dated to $165.00 which may work on the cut downs. Let me know. Thanks,,Rick B

Rick, all the cut down artillerys I have seen were WW1 era; I do not believe that any of them were made for WW2.

A lot of police holsters came from WW1 era holsters and were converted and a lot of those converted were originally artillerys. i am sure there were a lot of artillery's converted to army also, but that is not what i collect, so can't say for sure.

In nice shape, they go for at least $185, if not more. I don't mind them converted, but would pay less for a conversion than an original holster.

Rick,

I would be interested in any that are unit marked. Preferably on the front, but have interest in them no matter where they are marked.

Thanks guys and I meant a 1941 WWII standard holster. I looked at the arty cut downs also.

Ron I would need to get in touch with you sometime in February or March when she said she will be coming back. She will not go to our January show as it is to cold she said. She only does a one day show also and leaves early. I tried to get there number to call them twice now but there paranoid I think. I could call you once I am there with holsters in hand and buy them if you would like. Rick B

Rick,

I paid $ 125 or so for each of these about 1.5 to 2 years ago...had Jerry do some repairs on a couple of them.
