Default Ir 78

This is on Egun, James has a possible interest in this:

DWM 9mm Luger matching numbers including magazine, serial # 7750, condition as shown in photos, based on depth of stampings it is in un restored original condition, obvious rust spots, the insides look better than the exterior, the the bore and springs are rough and weak. Stamps on the grip are IR 78 - 78th Infantry Regiment - Count Freidrich from Braunschweig (Ost Freisland) - rest is sales pitch. He's offereing the regimental history for another 50 Euro -

I don't have a dictionary here, (CQ Duty - Ft McClellan) some of ya'll are better at German than me by far.

"der Lauf, Felder sind rau und matt"...xlated as "bore and surfaces are unfinished and dull". "die Feder" is a spring. I wonder which he meant.
Good job on translation, Roadkill.

The trigger guard looks bent. Definite pitting, but it almost appears to have had some refinishing done, maybe cold blue? Or maybe its just the photos.
