hi, i got my holster and i'm proud on it. i paid at ebay $45 and i think it's not too expensive. there's a handscript name in the cover, where the toll-holder was:
-Heuckeroth 3/90- (what does the 3/90 mean?) its other marking is: -Liefergs. Verein d. Sattlermstr. z. G¶ttingen 1917- fully it is: Lieferungs-Verein der Sattlermeister zu G¶ttingen 1917, in english: Supply association of the upholsterer masters to Goettingen what do you think about it? the tool-holder and the fast-pulling-belt are missing. the salesman told me, it is a shortened ari-holster. it never had any mag-bags, there are only two seams going to the end (i think there was the bag for the long cleaning-tool). i read about some ari-holsters, that were shortened for the luger-pistol. i think i have one. is it possible to get the toolholder and the fast-pulling-belt in old, same-looking leather? or would you not replace these things? the leather is a little bit hard and has some breaks on the cover, how could i get it softly? i'll send some pics. dieter |

Hi Jerry,
Guess the Alzheimer's is steady at work. Forgot all about the pouch. I have been sorting through all of my non-navy stuff and tagging it so I can hopefully sell it all at MAX. I will send you two holsters; one to use as parts for the pouch and to canabalize the lifting strap to use on holster number 2. Always pleased to recommend your workmanship-just so long as I can go to the head of the line when in a hurry! LOL. Tom |

Dieter & Jerry, Since I doubt that your 3/90 marking stands for March 1990, it's possibly a price: 3 marks/90 phennigs. I probably have the loading tool pouch with flap & stud and the lifting strap, if you wish to attempt the repair yourself. But judging from the photos, this holster looks pretty stiff and repairs may be difficult. Tom

Jerry,
I will send the article to Dok today, if I can get the time. I just barely have been able to look at a few of the posting on the Forum. Rest assured that the article will go to Dok today. Marvin |

Marvin, Many thanks for sending that article to Dok. There is an incredible interest in this subject and I am asked constantly about it. It would be so easy to direct folks to your article if it were in the general info section... Thanks again for the help and the great article! Jerry
