I must admit.. I'm a curious person, especially when it comes to Lugers
![]() Going trough my takedown levers, in search for a particular number.. I found three levers with '42' stamped on the up-side (not front). Perhaps a production code of some sort instead of serial? Any thoughts?

Steinar, This "42", not in the normal position, indicates a Mauser spare part. Your will also find "s42" on some earlier spares. TH
