The manufactureer is not written with a code and with 4 digits of the year !!

I posted the question about the '41 dated holster with the full makers name,interesting to see the full name on a '42 dated.

check trough around here...
some other holsters came out with the full makers name:
black:
-Karl BÃ?Â¶cker WaldbrÃ?Â¶hl 1939 WaA 27...Navy eagle
-Genschow & Co. Berlin 1936 WaA 112 old style eagle
-Otto Sindel Berlin 1942 ...Police eagle
-Otto Reichel Wngefeld 1940...WaA 360 (380?)
Brown:
-P.Ehrhardt Poessneck 1938 WaA26(28?)
And all of thouse are stamped with the whole 4 digits of the Year!
So I think they are not too rare?

2. GYO42 WaA98 Nurnburg -- always thought this one interesting, as the code is used, but the location of manufacture is also present.

never saw the location beside a code? Should be courious! The location by the way is (Nurnburg) NÃ?Â¼rnberg which is part of Bavaria.

Generally all German Military holsters made before 1940 will have the full name of the maker, city and date present. Police holsters continued this practice through out WW2. It is a bit unusual to find such on post 1940 military (WaAed) ones, but appearantly some makers either didn't get the word or DGaS. Tom H.

I'll get some pics up as soon as practical. we had a grease fire in the kitchen two weeks ago and my digital camera was a fatality, along with some other items I had moved to the counter to take pictures of, including a shoulder holster I had purchased from Tom Heller.

btw, I've purchased several items from this gentleman, and they are as represented and warranted for buyer final inspection and approval. He is a pleasure to deal with and apparently has a great store of knowledge and material. I recommend him.

Oddly, 1/2 inch below of this marking, there's a WaA eagle without number.
