This weekend I stumbled upon a nice gun. I would like to know your opinion. Funny how I found the gun. I was at HomeDepot and decided on a lark to visit a shop in the area... Walked in, saw luger on display. The salesman said "it came in 1/2 hour ago". Here's what I found:

All matching. Grips on inside have a very tiny Eagle 655 stamp - no 2 digit serial number. Was this standard procedure for mid-41 byf's

In very good condition overall. The inside is particularly nice. The original color was black but the black wears out and gives a mottled olive appearance.

lets not forget the extra mag. Interesting overstamp; larger font. The mag is a SE63. Original SN is 1878 k (if you need it for a match to your gun - let me know!). The overstamp is 1064.

Congrats!!
I'm not sure about the grips, but I'm certain someone better qualified (which is just about *anyone*) than me will know!!! In the meantime - great looking BYF!! thanks for sharing!! John D. |

Very nice gun Grappa! Congratulation with it!
When it comes to the grips, I have a P-block byf 41 with the last two digits stamped. What's right in your 'block' I don't know.. But the E/655 would be right.

Really nice Rig Grappa! I'd say for $1000 bucks it was a steal!
