hi,
today my s/42 k-date arrived. now i found out, that the firing pin is the first version (without the 3 grooves). as far as i know an order was given in 1930 (repeated in 1935) to change the firing pin. cause of this order it is believed, that lugers, which were delievered after 1930, had also a firing pin with the grooves. the firing pin seems to be original: matching numbers and "s"-marked. now my question: who owns also a k-date and can look please, whats the version of the firing pin in his luger? any other ideas? ![]() regards klaus |

Klaus: Just took mine apart and it has the 3 groove firing pin. The pin is "s" marked with the last 2 digits of the serial number. Hope this helps. Harry
