Default Portuguese GNR holster

Ok, I won the auction for this holster on Ebay and feel a little cheated by the seller. The holster itself is in great shape and I have no complaints about it. But the cleaning rod that looks like it was just taken apart in the picture is actually broken. I knew that the pin punch was bad, but I actually paid a bit more because I knew the value of the cleaning rod. I paid $358 shipped. Should I ask for some money back? I was thinking about $50 or so. Or should I keep my rap shut, as these holsters are rare as henĂ¢??s teeth?

Be thankful that it was not worse. Anyhow, the price is very good.

Doug, I would be less than satisfied if the seller did not disclose the cleaning rod was actually broken. He knew it, why not mention it? I would contact him and ask for something....Jerry Burney

Doug, the rod part appears to be a replacement. Is it aluminum? A true GNR rod would be blued and the checkering on the cap quite course compared to the earlier DWM oiler cap, which had a brass rod. This said, I think that you still did OK.
