Default Shipping overseas

I am a collector now living out of the US. I have some guns still in the US that I would like to have join me. Is understand that everything now has to go through the state dept. and it is a big hassel to ship overseas. Is anyone a full bottle on this and could give me some pointers. Thanks.

Much depends, are you a civilian or a military? Working for the gov't or strictly a civilian?

When I was with the army, you could ship guns to some countries and not others. I ended up not having them with me although I could have in the netherlands, it was just easier, but sometimes I wish I'd had them...

Hi Fazer,

Depends where you live overseas. Some countries have their own gun proofing and stamping laws and be careful that your guns don't have to be reproofed when you import them.

If you are in Europe, the best way is to get them in through the Netherlands, as they are an EU country without specific proofing requirements. When they are imported via the Netherlands, they can then be transferred to other EU countries without any reproofing requirements.
