Would like to talk with some one about getting a magazine to run. Gun came into shop with live round feed problems due to mag. Every thing about mag was in need of attention. Follwer and cross pin were in bind, spring cap dia to large pushing spring out into mag body, spring kinked and weak. High spotted follower now running free and true. Turned spring plug, now free to move and doesnt bind spring in body, replaced spring with Wolff. Spring now seems to strong and mag won't easily load more than three rounds and still binds. Anyone wanting to know how far a luger mag will fly through air contact me.

Hi
IF a mag should be used for a shooting luger I would recomend you to buy Tripple-K mags. ANd It should be Stainless steel tripple K's NOTHING else. They work wonderfully and is far cheaper than original mags. Original mags will by the way only get destroeyd and hammerd by extenisve shooting. Regards HÃ?Â¥kan Spuhr http://www.vapensmedjan.com |

Hakan, are the stainless steel Triple K magazines the ones you use in your custom Luger target pistols?

We have used original mags to.
But as the Tripple K mags works perfectly and not have given any problems I can't see any reason why to use original mags that costs 4-5 times as much when they just are going to be shoot to pieces within some years. REgards HÃ?Â¥kan http://www.vapensmedjan.com |

Have you been able to compare Triple K with Mec-Gar magazines? I have some older repros and they seem to function well, but the feel of the spring against the inside walls of the magazine is 'gritty'. I have no idea who the manufacturer was..some are plated and some are blued. The plated ones are made to look like they are two piece crimped but they aren't.

Thanks for the info on Triple K. Do they have a web address? I'll try the obvious next. Hakan, could you elaborate on how and why stock mags get so beat up. Thanks Steve

I have nothing good to say about mecgar.
The feeling of the Stainless Tripple K's is like moving the follover in hot butter, no drag or binding at all. while the blued mags from tripple K's is just the opposite. At the beginning we had problem with Tripple k mags was dropiing out of the gun while shooting, and it was correcteed by taking a plier and bending out the lip that catches the magrelease. Its fairly simple the sheetmetal in them are to soft and the gun is farily light.
The recoil makes the ammo to move in the mags and hammering the front of the mag. I don't know if they have a webpage but I sure can't find it anyway. Regards HÃ?Â¥kan |

Hello HÃ?Â¥kan
I will be shooting such sports shooting with my P08 that requires reloading in midst of shooting. This naturally will result in dropping the magazines onto ground and picking them up later when shooting is over. My magazines will be suffering due to this. All my magazines naturally are aftermarket so valuable collectible's items are not used (just mentioning this to let you serious collectors minds at ease). I have some MegCar magazines and they seem to widen up at lips when dropped. I would assume that as dropping a partially emtied magazine onto ground, it will hit ground base first. This will cause remaining stack of ammo to compress the spring a little, on rebound the spring will jam the ammo against magazine lips in such force that lips will deform. As you look at these 'Tripple-K'magazines would you consider them to be stronger in this area? If Tripple-K's are more robust in this area, I'd be interested in buying a few of them. Is there a source for these magazines in Sweden I could contact, or could I buy these directly from you? I'm located also in Scandinavia so ordering would be more convenient for me customs wise than from USA. - Artsi |
