For Bob S., he is wondering when these were made?

I'm just very curious if one of the members can tell me the year these were manufactured.

The box looks military in origin... is there a lot number on the box? that might be a clue to when they were made.

Ed,
My guess would be from the late 40s- early 50s. Western Cartrige co. Was a division of Olin, purchased by Winchester and became Winchester-Western at about this time. If I remember correctly.
