This is on my Steyr Hahn with Austrian, Bohemian and 3rd. Reich markings.....on right side just below slide-heres the code 4V386, have had this gun in a box since june 2004 when i bought it, in very very good +++ condition ..do you think $475 was too much? Thanks in Advance!!!

Hi Adam,
I don't have a clue as to what the markings mean. Possibly an Austrian army unit or a weapon rack number. I think at $475, you got a pretty good deal. If it is in nice condition. Has it been converted to 9mm Para? Is it stamped P.08 on the left side? Ron

Yep, it is in 9mm Parabellum, stamped 08 on the side, eagle proof with N, indicating the conversion took place at the Mauser factory (i think)
