Is it okay with the BATF to own a Martz carbine...made from an earlier Luger ?

Yep, as far as I know. I am pretty sure that his carbines that were not carbines to begin with have a 16" barrel. He has also made at least one pretty neat P38 carbine.

Pete, As long as they have a 16" barrel and are 28" overall in length, thay are legal.

It its barrel is over 16 inches (changed to be right
), it doesn't matter, it is classified as a rifle?

Removable stock is no problem. The 16" barrel takes it out of the short barreled rifle category, therefore legal.

Barrel length needs to be at least 16"
O.L. length needs to be at least 26" to avoid NFA purview as an SBR ...yep! |
