Default Lugers in comic books

Those who read comic books in the 60s and 70s should remember that "Sgt. Rock" and "Sgt. Fury" had plenty of Luger action. I remember a "Sgt. Fury" issue where a Nazi pulls out a Luger, and Fury is able to pull the magazine out of the pistol, telling him, "That blaster ain't gonna do you any good without its ammo clip in there!"

I also remember vividly an early sixties Sgt.Rock where a nazi soldier (seems like he was kind of a maverick) is waiting in ambush and just when he sights Rocko in, he pulls the trigger but the whole toggle train flys up and wraps around the back of his hand (only in the comics). In the last panel Sgt.Rock is walking him at gunpoint and his wrist is bandaged..ahhhh..the good ol days.
