My First Luger
Here are some pictures of my first Luger purchase. It is a byf 42 with a serial number of 3581e. It is all matching including the magazine and grips.

Maybe it's too matching. I was under the impression that by 1942 the magazines were unnumbered.
I've been wrong before. I'm always learning. |

The magazine is scrubbed and force matched, as there is an "O" suffix on the frame and what is left of an "L" or "B" on the magazine.
The finish is also not original. That dull phosphate black never came out of the Mauser factory. Still, it appears to be a decent and attractive shooter. |
