Default Please look this Luger over

I have been in market for a while. I am a bidder on this one. I think that at least one of the numbers is force stamped and not original, also think this may be a refinish. Please give your opinion as it will effect the price I am willing to pay. I have until 9/11 at 6pm EST.

Sorry I cant post better pictures and I know its rather short notice. The pictures to get bigger if you click on them. The number I was concerned about is the "31" on what I think is the extractor, top front of the bolt behind the 1936 date stamp. I guess I will bid this out as a refinish and let the dice roll as they will.

We need much bigger than thumbnail photos. Doug, You can easily make these pics full size..Press down on your control key and scroll. It will magnify your screen.

I was concerned about is the "31" on what I think is the extractor..I would think that is actually an 81 and the edge of the 8 is lost to the edge..fell off. So now looks like a 31. But isn't.

Extractor # 31 looks good.
Get a 3 day inspection.
From what I can see the finish looks original.

Your photos would be much larger if you posted them individually instead of all images on the same frame. Try just posting one photo and see if that isn't true.

I enlarged the photos to a usable size by opening the image in a new tab and then using the browser zoom function. I could boost it to 500% quite clearly and the gun looks pretty good to me.

I got them open and don't have a problem with it. I can't see halos on the frame, but everything else looks good. Actually it is nicer than your average bear...
You don't mention if the internals or mag. matches or the price you are willing to pay, so we can't help with much else.
Good luck!

I ended up losing because I had to help wifey and missed by a few minutes. Final price was 1360 and I was willing to go up to around 1500. Seller said everything matched, no 3 day return so I was a little aprehensive.
There will be another.

The final price was fair, but I applaud your patience. Nice Lugers come to those who wait. You may wish to try a "wanted" ad here. The price is right.
