Jerry made this for me, it is something that he finds handy and is loosely patterned off of a Swiss design.

A very interesting Luger accoutrement Ed. The others like this I have seen in the past have been braided and about half as long... I have never seen one of a single piece of leather before...

John, Pete Ebbink showed me some that he found in a Swiss Luger book he located. They were braided and from what I could see, permanently attached to the pistol. This one is handy as it can be easily removed from the pistol if desired.
The steel keeper stud and washer is hand hammered on similar to a Police closure stud on a holster. These could be made any length of course. I find this length handy for pulling the pistol out of the holster instead of employing what might be a fragile pull up strap in the holster. When I am repairing holsters I keep one on my fitting pistol so as to prevent damage to the holster. I also use one while shooting. It can be grasped along the wrist to steady the pistol somewhat. Thanks Ed for showing the Membership my little oddity! Jerry Burney
