Can anyone identify this mark? It is on a 29 DWM(Sneak)

This is an inspector's mark indicating that front sight & base met specifications. It appear to be the letter "R" (could be the first letter of his name) struct with a broken die.

I haven't really paid to much attention to these before; is there any particular pattern to these being marked. Do the K-dates have this inspector mark?
