Post KC Gun Show & NAPCA Report...?

For the folks that did not go, does anyone have a luger report for the recent KC gun show and NAPCA dinner ?

What was the luger of the show ?

Regards,

Pete...

Pete, Sorry that you couldn't make KC show. All of the Big Boys (Shattuck, Simpson, Schroeder, Feit, etc) were there with a multitude of minty and rare lugers. Also some very nice luger and Rare 9mm pistol displays from as far away as Calif & Hawaii. I brought my recent estate luger accasitions and sold several, mostly to the NAPCA guys. The Saturday night NAPCA dinner was an excellent chance to speak to some advanced collectors of pistols other than the luger. Jan Still gave a nice slide presentation, but very similar to ones that he's given in the past. The Buffet this year was outstanding and worth the price of admission. Tom H.

Hi,
The Kansas City show was very good again with lots of Lugers. There was some extremely hard to find variations such as a Persian cutaway, an original cased 02 carbine, and a 98% original 02 fat barrel. There were also 3 Mauser carbines and 2 six shot broomhandles. Lots of Mauser military Lugers examples with one matching magazine as well as some navy and Imperial stuff. Two more wooden drum magazine boxes showed up. I was able to purchase two complete rigs in 98-99% condition with two matching magazines. One was a 1938 S/42 and the other a 1939 Banner E/L. Saw a nice complete sneak in the T block with two matching magazines also. Sunday just before closing a walk-in came to our table and my friend bought a 1939 S/42 in 98% original condition with a matching magazine. There were also some wonderful displays just to mention a few -- Browning Highpowers, Norwegian 45's, M1 Grands, and WW1 Machine guns. I would recommend that you attend if you could.

Man Bill, that sounds even better than I thought! Can't wait to see the 39 Banner!
