In this picture are two MG34 Belt Drum mags, a carrier and an ammo can. The drums and carrier are a little darker green than the ammo can. I thought the ammo can to be original finish. I am wondering if the drums and carrier are post war repaint or original finish. Can anyone say based on this picture?

Interesting barrel nut on the MP-40. Most have six flats. Is it Finnish???
Here's a pic of my Finnish MG-34/MG-42 ammo can. It's been sitting in my basement for forty-something years, but the color looks similar.

Thanks guys. The carrier and belt drums are war time dated. As to the MP40 it is a mismatched parts kit on a dummy receiver with no non-german ie Finnish markings. I believe there were both the usual 6 flats and 2 flats on MP40 barrel nuts, depending on manufacturer and year of production. But I am not super knowledgeable on MP40 variations.
