back in Sept 2016 I bought a Mauser lower from Don on this site to attach to a chromed upper I bought off a gent on the akfiles. took it out this morning with a box of perfecta 115 grain ammo in a original aluminum bottom mag and a new mecgar mag. Ran through 4 mags without a hiccup! toggle locked back each time. I think I even hit the target a few times at 15 yards!.
the pistol is a chromed G date upper and the lower has the Mauser hump and P08 stamped on the side. I probably have more than it's worth into it, but it wasn't bought with that in mind. I've got a 1918 dwm that I've shot a couple times, its reblued and the sideplate mismatched, its actually a great looking pistol. Also a 1917 erfurt that looks all original but the finish isn't great. I think the Mauser is the shooter. jim |

It is such a great feeling when one takes out a gun that one has worked on/built and it works as desired. I have a "Heinz 57 Luger" that I put together some time ago, and it works just like I had hoped it would. I have never used that ammo, but apparently your Luger is quite fond of it.

Yes,
nothing quite like a good running luger to make you happy!

You probably did, but good to know it worked with your upper.
I'm happy to help out and keep these shooters - well - shooting!
