Default Another one from the gunshow: 1918 DWM

I met up with a friend who brought some guns to trade, and I went for this one. I got a good trade, no money changed hands and we both went home happy.

I just disassembled it to check it out, and it's all matching down to the grips, firing pin and mag (which is the "+" marked spare). Now I finally have one representative, matching Luger from each of the World Wars.

Hi Olle,
It looks like a nice honest, un-messed with gun, thanks for sharing.
Regards, Norm

Very, very nice! A great trade! (What was swapped for it?)

I traded even for a C96 I restored a while back. I can't remember how many hours I spent on it, but at least I didn't have too much "real money" in it.

I had an '18 DWM with matching mag in almost identical condition two years ago and traded it. The only problem with that gun was that the two digits inside the grips were reversed. Serials and letter block were very close.

It is always great when both sides of a trade are happy with the transaction. I would love to have either handgun.....or BOTH!!

Golly that C96 looks pristine! Me want.
(just for the record this newbie has never seen or held a C96. Like never.)
