Default The-best-of-the-best 16 round magazine

http://luger.gunboards.com/showthrea...st-of-the-best

I think I may have the only working 16rd mag for the German Luger.I got it from Gerben who is one of the Moderator on the Luger Forum. He had it for sale there a short time ago.He said he got it from a Dutch gun smith, who got it from a gun show in Kassel,Germany (the IWA,one of the largest gun shows in Germany and Europe). When I got it from him I had him send it to Jerry Burney,as it is a large capacity mag and I live in Calif, where they have a 10rd capacity law.I had Jerry check it out
for me to see how well it worked. He found there were some feed problems with it,and the follower looked to be handmade. The take down button was so tight you could not easily get a take down tool on it. There were problems with feeding all 16rd.So I had him send it on to Gerald Tomek to fix and after he changed the follower with a real one and put good follower in it,and widened the follower slot so the follower would slide smoothly not to mention what else he did,it now works just great.Jerry Burney made
a mag pouch for it with a place for a take down tool. When I say THE BEST OF THE BEST I am talking
about Jerry Burney the lugerholsterrepair man and Gerald Tomek the Luger mag repair man.If you need to get a hold of them Jerry Burney -E-Mail is lugerholsterrepair@earthlink.net. And Gerald Tomek E-Mail is gctomeks@msn.com. I will have Harry Greer post some pictures of the 16rd mag and the 16rd mag pouch that Jerry made to go with it.Thanks,George Fortier
