All,
Just went to the range yesterday with my first P08, a 1939 42 code. Had it cleaned and test fired by a gunsmith first. My problem was that the toggle joint stayed open even though there one was round remaining in the magazine. This happened 4 or 5 times out of 50 rounds fired. Do you have any ideas what is causing that? Thank, George

Weak holdopen spring.
Try shooting it with the holdopen (the L-shaped lever in the frame) removed. It only helps to keep the toggle open after the last round and has no other useful purpose besides that. If the pistol works good without the holdopen, you'll probably either need to tweak or replace the little leaf spring on the holdopen. |
