Thank you all for your help and advice in bringing a member into the Luger family. It is an S/42 dated 1939. All parts are matching that I could find (field stripped only). There is a decent amount of pitting but the bore is clean. Thanks again.

to remove the default "http://" from the field BEFORE you pasted the URL into the field? It's the single biggest error most folks make.

Dok,
I've tried pasting the link "boards.rennlist.com/upload/gun0003.jpg" to the "optional image URL" space and it will not show the picture when I look at the preview. I'm a lot lost! Spencer |

Hi Spencer,
You are all set on your first post... Looks GREAT! Ed was absolutely correct - you entered "http://www.boards.rennlist.com/upload/gun0003.jpg" rather then "http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/gun0003.jpg" (without the "www") HTH!!! |

I just put your URL after the "http://" and it worked fine.

Was absolutely correct - except you had a slight typo as in: "jun0003.jpg" should have been "gun0003.jpg" as the picture name - it would have popped right up

Thanks all!
When I removed the grips to inspect for the sn# and replaced it (right side)the grip was lose. Is there a fix for that? Spencer |

Sure is Spencer, a very small "O" Ring under the Grip Screw.
Or a very thin rubber or neoprene washer will work. As a very temporary fix a few turns around the screws with a thin rubber band will work. Do not leave rubber washers or bands for a long time or they will deteriorate and stick to the Frame and Grips. ViggoG |
