I picked up a 1917 DWM today. I was in the market for something else when I spotted this on. For the most part it is matching. The clip is an original but has no number just the crown symbol and the grips don’t match, everything else matches. In all I am happy with it and for $610.00 you can’t go too far wrong.

Not really, I am in Germany at the moment and when it comes time to go home the nice people from ATF may have issues with it. Oh well one problem at a time but a good quality P08 for under $1000 is never hard to get rid of and in the mean time it's mine

Keep us informed of the hoops you have to jump thru. Sounds like a lot of grief to me but I've never done it.

I suspect it will have to be shipped back to the US through an importer. Do you think so?

I believe that they will have to mark it as such. A shame.

I beleive that it will have to go through an importer also and with that comes his stamp.
I just wish that they would make importers of fine art stamp the importers name on it. I can just see it the Mona Lisa with an Interarms stamp in the lower left corner then I wouldn't feel bad. ![]() |
