Hello all,

Just registered and wanted to say hi. My Luger is 1918 DWM #4938. All matching numbers and in good condition. I got it from my Grandfather many years ago. It shoots great without failures. Any info on this gun appreciated. Pictures here: http://forum.lugerforum.com/album.php?albumid=90

Nice looking luger (coming from a newb myself). Certainly more special getting handed down to you from your grandfather.

A very nice Luger indeed, and the best way to own your first Luger is through the generosity and privilege of receiving it from a treasured ancestor.

Thanks all,

Yes, getting it from my Grandfather, who I loved dearly, was very nice. He was also a Sherriff in Rutherford NJ many years ago and he gave me his Colt Police Positive .38 special and his Colt 1911 .45. A few other treasures as well.

I ordered a book from Amazon "Standard Catalog of Luger", so I should be better informed on my Luger soon.
