Default Georg Luger handwritten letters

Dear friends,
I am very glad to present in the Luger Forum two real rare items: two original handwritten Luger letters wrote to Paul Mauser.
These two items are coming from the prestigious archives of Mr. Kornmayer and Mr. G?¶rtz.
I guess it is not necessary to introduce Mr. Kornmayer and Mr. G?¶rtz because they are the two most authoritative Luger historians.

Mr. Kornmayer and Mr. G?¶rtz had the possibility to take these two letters during the researches of the book â??Die Pistole 08â? directly from the Mauser family.

The letters are quite familiar in the Luger collector family. One of them is available at page 28 of the Bender book and in several articles the two historians wrote on Georg Luger. Recently Mr. Kornmayer wrote a short article about these letters in Auto Mag.

I am really honored that they are now in my archive.

I have spent quite an effort to prepare a nice presentation of the letters in my web site. You can find the translation into English as well as all the information Mr. Kornmayer provided to me about the historical context: absolutely interesting.

I suggest then that you take a few minutes to read these documents: www.lugerlp08.com

Thanks to Gerben for the help in preparing the web pages.

I hope you enjoy them.

Cheers,
Mauro

Mauro, That's truly fantastic! You must be proud to posses them...A real treasure direct from the hand of the master.
