research luger

Hello Guys,

I have a luger byf 42 with serial #3690.
Could anyone tell me if there is a way to search
where the weapon has been used and maybe who was the early owner in WW2?
I bought the gun from a older person with license and the gun has been found in the ardennes in belgium, that's all that I know abouth it...
