Default Heiser Holster, odd

Picked this up at the gun show last weekend thinking one of you guys would want it, but I didn't look closely enough and now am not sure what I have.

This is a beautifully carved floral design holster with a Heiser snap on the flap, but there is no Heiser imprint anywhere on the leather.

I might be inclined to think that someone put a Heiser snap on a non-Heiser holster, but the holster is so well made, I can't imagine what the point would have been.

Now here's the real puzzler: with the flap closed there is no place for a pistol butt to stick out, so I doubt this thing was made for a handgun, though it is certainly handgun-shaped; kinda.

The guy who had it said he thought it was for a broomhandle. And the holster is kind of broomhandle-shaped, but for the flap not allowing for a handle to protrude.

Anyway, I understand there is a digital version of an old Heiser catalog floating around out there somewhere. Does anyone have it? (I still don't own a digital camera and therefore can't upload a photo.)
