Default Removing the blueing

Dear Members

I just recieved my second luger. I intend to use it as a shooter, since it has some freckling and pitting and the serial numbers aren't matching.
Since there's almost no collector's value, I want to restore the gun.

Unfortunately, here in Switzerland, restoration is incredibly expensive (since the hourly wages are very high) and so I've decided to do all the work, which can be done by a non-professional myself.

Now I'd like to know, whether removing the blueing can be done by me, or whether this is something, which should be done by a professional (remember, the gun hasn't got any collectable value!).

Thank you in advance
