That's neat Mark. They got pretty carried away with the design of the Anchor didn't they. Almost cartoonish in appearance and design. The first time I have ever seen a French Navy mark.

I hate to ask this question (but recently seeing a so called Finnish navy marked Hi-Power) are the markings legit ??

Yes ... the serial number range is correct and a few others have been reported in the same range ........ I think Tom Knox has one in a similar serial number range.

The French Navy was not very long lived and not many of these guns are around.
