Hey what do you guys mean P.38's? That's a can opener as I recall...
Dok, Check the thread down the page about the "selbstlade pistole" issue. I found a photo of a commercial issue walther model 1 that has the words separated. although my German language training is about 36 years ago, I believe it can be either way... -JOHN |

Could be that all are right . While tracing some German Patents. I was enlightened to a little known fact . Prior to WW-1 there were more than four German Dialects in popular use in various parts of the Nation , Yhis matter caused much confusion in the translation of scientific documents and the matter was corrected to a single official version of German between WW-1 & WW-2 . or somewhat in that era . Ihope that this will "not" ( ? ) confuse the issue further. HE , HE , HE , HE , HE , HE . ViggoG |

your new graphics are good to go anyway...
Its probably about time we changed the "look" anyway... or you could just shelve the new graphics to be introduced for some special future event, like new years eve... (just thinking out loud) |

DOK ,
Perhaps Patrick can verify the proper modern version, I think we will find it to be the split version . "The Selfload Pistol" If I recall my Patent Research correctly I hope I/m correct in this ViggoG |

Animated BANNERS is OUT !
After looking through the Photos and wording contained in the link http://www.hermann-historica.com/hist/39auction/kat5/kat5.htm It is now obvious that the present banner is in the form that now seems to be in practice in Germany . Thats all I need to "clam up", sorry but things seem to have a different appearance than what I remember from a few years back . I HOPE MY BIG "76" is getting into the age of excusability ! I guess 04/18/1925 was more than a few years back . Have a good time KIDS , ViggoG |
