Default Hospitals/Doctors and Mistakes (Long)

Regarding previous post on Doctors and Guns. I personnally went through this on 6/1/01 when I had a Heart Caterazation performed on me. Not having the procedure done before I really only knew what to expect from the pamplets given and a video shown at the Hospital. Needless to say I expierenced more pain then I was suppose to, as the Doctor was completing the procedure he encountered a spot that he could not determine what it was. One of the nurses finall came up with the idea to check the Hypos used during the procedure. They found that instaed of Lidocaine used to deaden the area I was injected with something else. I was awake during the procedure and asked the Doctor what had happened and would get back to me. I talked to him the fo;;owing Monday and he said that the setup team had placed the wrong materials on the table and that a check with the radiologist and others said that the material was harmless. Today I called the hospital and talked to the person responsible for the Heart Cath section what had been done to correct problem. He stated an incident report had been made and a new verification procedure established. However I told him that while this may good now what would have happened to me if something potential dangerous had been used and I really did not appreciate going through a procedure without the pain relief that I was suppose to have he said someone would get back with me next week. THINK I SHOULD ASK FOR A KRIEGOFF?

Yes THREE Kriegs .

My Hope goes with you for a full and complete recovery !!!

I suggest Krieghoff, Krieghoff, Krieghoff, and Krieghoff Attys at Law, Malpractice Law that is !!!!!

You are due much in the way of compensation for Gross negligence, Endangerment and pain and suffering.

This practice cannot be allowed to go on. Many others will most likely be damaged if it is not ended in a way that others will not be placed in this same position sometime in the future !!!!!

You just missed becoming another medical statistic !!!

My Hope goes with you for a full and complete recovery !!!

I too have witnessed too many such statistics within my own family as late as last month, I lost my sister in law to lousy medical practice , and the doctor left town and no one will give any information as to where he has removed himself.

I think that most of our friends on this forum are much more reliable than a good many Knife Happy Doctors.

I do not condem the medical profession as a whole , just those who cover up their errors.

And I dont mean undertakers !!!

Tracy,I just read an article where a doc is being sued for not administering enough pain medication to a patient. Since the doctor you had did not administer any at all you should be eligible for pain and suffering compensation. With the proper attorney there should be several Lugers for both of you (well, more for the attorney) in the deal. Best of luck.."take me to your Luger!"

Compatriot of mine, former Special Forces Medic, now GP, says his #1 responsibility as a physician is protecting his family and friends from his fellow practitioners.
