I have seen a few parabellum holsters that have been cut down to obviously make it easier to grasp the P08 out of the holster. Was this a wartime practice or something done postwar? I know this seriously detracts from the value of the holster, but would one be worth anything at all after?

I have seen these on e-bay, as a curiosity they are fine, but not very valuable. These were probably done toward the end of the war or post war by GI's and possibly by others.
