Question Off Topic..Comments welcome

Good Day Everyone,

I am looking for some words of wisdom here...

On top of being the proud owner of a Luger, I also collect other handguns (S&W, Ruger, Beretta, Vostok...ect).

I am contemplating acquiring a Sig P226 9mm. Even though I have done my homework and gathered info from various sources, I have never actually fired or owned a Sig Sauer firearm and was wondering if any of you owned one (or used one before) and would care to comment on them.

I've read all the good stuff on the SIGARMS site and the various review on this apparently excellent pistol..yadi yadi yada.. except I would be delighted to hear from anyone from this forum before I make a call and buy myself a birhtday present

For exemple, I read that some models (pre-1998) had a problem with the trigger bar spring (they apparently eat the frame near the magazine release button backplate and break a lot)

Anything else I should be worried about??

ANY comments welcome and thanks a lot in advance

BTW I didn't mean to annoy anyone with this query, it's just that THIS is THE place to get intelligent answers from people who "know"

Cheers <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
