Seems like when we weren't looking we became authenticating experts.

Dwight, my feelings are mixed on this issue. If that clip was displayed and discussed on this forum then the seller has some claim. On the other hand, if he is taking discussions and applying them to his goods, then he may be trying to imply an endorsement, which may need to be protested.

I just read the auction ad and see no Credible (or creditable) reference to the Lugerforum...

only a "best guess" and a specific reference to Jan Still's book by page number.

If the seller came by that information here, there is nothing that requires attribution to the forum. I don't happen to own copies of Still's books so I can't validate the information that the seller has stated.

It IS a nice magazine for those who collect unit marked accessories...IMHO
First of all, I am no expert on police marked clips but the best guess on identifying this clip came from Luger Forum.

The ad just states that from our concensus and feeling that it was a Police Magazine. I personnally don't have a problem with it, others including me have asked for help on an item and sometimes you just "gots" to sell something.
