Post Trommelmagazin box - original?? ebay

Ebay auction TM magazine box - original by message of the owner!
I think that there are much boxes delivered in the same kind as the on for Ari Trommelmagazines - just for regular ammunition, and it is easy to print a "P" just on a regular Ammo box?

The box for the MG08/15 saddle drums is, I believe, the same dimensions however that box seems to have two hinges.

Roland,
I guess you are right. It seem a normal Patronen-kasten. There isn't any trace of wood items that it is possible to see in the original p-kasten.

Sorry but if you look at my PKasten album on this forum page two ,you can see that the hole inside the Mr Maass box are at the place where the little wood separations are originaly .For me I am sure it's a good one but difficult to restore look mine before I do the work:

And now see MG trommel Kasten :

Or this one different
And the inside is diff too

Hi,

This is the photo from the original LP08 manual, note the lid, it seems that some versions had the wood center plate, others a metal one. I agree that the visible signs of the interior are the only way to decide whether a box was or was not a trommel box, since the box can be used for a number of utilities, depending on the interior.
