I have been offered a 1910 DWM military Luger in excellent (98%) condition...it appears all original...the numbers are crisp and have the halo/erupted effect around them(not buffed or reblued)but.....the GESICHERT marking does not have the white paint in it....all the original Lugers I have seen have the safety marking lined in white....any comments or information would be welcome...Thanks...Peter..

It just may have been thoroughly cleaned by an overzealous owner... Some purists may devalue the gun for this reason...
As long as finish was not removed in the process, I would not lower the value any... just my ![]()
