I like old black and white pictures. I think monochromatic spectrum reveals a lot of interesting character and details . In my opinion colors sometimes blind or distract the perception.
Like Ford said something like, ‘I don,t care what color the car is, as long as it,s black’

Well, here,s my maternal G.G.father, a Kuban River Cossack who I believe fought in WW2 for on the opposite site.
I believe his was rank a low officer,s range. I wonder what,s his side arm was. Can,t make out. I have only digital reprint of his enlarged grainy photo, no original.
