Just brought this baby through the door about 30 minutes ago.
Not pristine but a decent example of a scarce? Pistol. I am just lucky to stumble upon this one. How scarce are they and How can I tell if it is a small number variant Please let me know what you think. It is an all matching except magazine piece all small parts stamped with 08. Also has an x suffix. I beleive the mag is an aftermarket piece as it appears to have a chrome plated body with a plastic? bottom, Has a cursive P on the base of the spine/ Sear saftey rivet is also "In the white:" Un numbered barrel |

That is a nice Swiss commercial mag, the "P" is for the manufacturer. A member pointed this out fairly recently in another thread, but alas, I have forgotten the details...

Well, with the sear safety and the Mauser Banner, it's a police gun, but I can't tell you much more. Sorry.
It does, however, look very nice. Good find! dju |

Did Mauser put a full "1941" date on their receivers? I thought only Krieghoff did that...
Interesting Luger!

In fact in 1941 there were two date sizes. The smaller 1941 is more common; the large 1941 less so. John |

Never really thought about it. Probably hang on to it for now. It was an out of the woodwork find and is only one of two WW2 Lugers in my collection.
PM me if you want. Wayne |
