D 26 M 14 on a 1916 Erfurt

Can anybody help with these markings? I don't know if there are periods between each stamping, as I have no photos.

Someone mentioned mortar batallion?

The "M" is a real puzzle, photos would help.

I looked through Jeff Nolls book, and saw nothing like that, sorry. The Dragoon started with a number, then the D.

Perhaps Weimar markings?
