1989 flyer + my Swiss model

Decided to oil my Luger and since I had it out thought I’d try to photograph it mimicking this forum’s centerfolds. I bought mine at the San Francisco Gun Exchange in May, 1973 for $200.40. The craftsmanship is superb! My weapon is a shooter, but just to hold it is a pleasure. Handwritten notes on the 1989 sales flyer states that the cost of the beautiful presentation versions began at $2,895 dollars.

IIRC, the very last Luger ever manufactured (identified by highest serial number) by Mauser is in the Artillery configuration shown in your brochure.

These Mauser made Lugers were so expensive to manufacture that they ultimately could not carry on the business. See Mauro and Gerben's excellent book "The Parabellum is Back".
